How to Fix Rescheck Project Is Not Valid Error
Presented by Jobe Leonard from Rescheck.info and the Reschexpert blog. Jobe’s mission is to help others correct their Rescheck errors both on Rescheck software and on paper.
Today on the Reschexpert blog we want to discuss how to fix a common error that I see on Rescheck Reports. This is lovingly referred to as the “Project not Valid” Rescheck Error. This error in the Department of Energy’s Rescheck Web software can stop your construction project dead in its’ tracks. So, I will show you how to fix it quickly and easily.
You are working along on a Rescheck and have all your data entered. You are ready to shove off of the desk for the day and relax a little. You hit the Save button your Rescheck Web software and BONG! A huge redline across the top of the screen with an error message.
What do you mean my project is not valid? I just spent 8 hours doing the Rescheck calculations for this project. Well, never fear, I have a simple easy fix that you can apply to get your Rescheck project and Rescheck error back on track quickly. What you want to do is navigate to the “Project” tab on your Rescheck software. If you look down 3 rows of data you will see a red message indicating that this is the area that is causing your project to be invalid. See below:
In this instance the error was caused by not entering a Location. To fix this simply enter the city or county where you are constructing your project. Then navigate to the upper right hand side of the Rescheck Web software and click Save once more. Now the project will save. Click Check Compliance, Generate your report, sign, date, and deliver to your building inspector.
Thanks for reading the Reschexpert blog. We hope this post helps you through the error and allows you to move forward.
