Today on the Reschexpert blog we want to give you a quick update on Rescheck and Comcheck softwares and what we see in the near term for energy codes as we approach the upcoming construction season
The most important addition to Rescheck Web has been IECC 2021. We are continually seeing more areas switch to the IECC 2021 and trying to help those jurisdictions with the difficulties of the adoptions. One way we can do this is be generating reports for IECC 2015, IECC 2018 and IECC 2021 to compare the differences in passing or failing scores. This allows building officials to see the true impact of the IECC 2021 Rescheck as it pertains to their local code.
Other news the ASHRAE Codes Conference is at the end of the month. We look forward to attending the event and seminars and meeting our colleagues and brethren in the DIY energy audit industry.
The event is officially called the 2022 Ashrae Winter Conference. It is held in Las Vegas, Nevada at Caesar’s Palace.
The dates are as follows:
2022 ASHRAE Winter Conference | January 29–February 2, 2022 | Caesars Palace
AHR Expo | Jan. 31–Feb. 2, 2022 | Las Vegas Convention Center
If you plan to attend you can choose from tracks that include 8 different options. There are also 100+ technical sessions, social events and ends with the ever popular AHR Expo. We are excited about this fantastic home energy audit event to sharpen our Rescheck and energy code skills.
The final thing we are watching pertains to Comcheck Web. IECC 2021 has yet to be added to Comcheck Web at the time of this post, but is anticipated to be included sometime this quarter. As cities and counties adopt IECC 2021 in can cause difficulties when the code they have chosen to enforce is not available to be used. We will be watching Comcheck Web, Comcheck Desktop, Rescheck Web, and Rescheck Desktop daily to look for new codes, options, and errors that we can keep you abreast of.
