Rescheck User:
Thank you so much and thanks for the quick turnaround time.
If I was to give you numbers for the res check would you be about to change the r value? With what I tell you?
I understand our plan is showing something but I would like to try another R value to see if my 2021 IECC Rescheck will pass using another insulation scenario.
Rescheck.info
Yes, just let me know.
Rescheck User:
Please and thanks so much
We would like to modify the ceiling on our IECC 2021 Rescheck to R 49 and the walls to R21.

Here are your modifications. Let me know if anything else comes up. I will be glad to help.
Thanks again for your business.
Rescheck User:
Does the sub floor have to be 49 ?
Thanks for your help
Rescheck.info
R38 will pass in the subfloor, but R30 fails on an IECC 2021 Rescheck by about 5%. Here is what R38 looks like.
Rescheck User:
Okay I have a question I submitted to my town an original res check from another Rescheck Service and obviously I would like to go with yours.
I’m not sure if I can update it with the town are they going to question it’s not from the original person who created the IECC 2021 Rescheck we submitted for our initial permit? Just wanted to kind of get insight
Rescheck.info
It really depends on your personal preference. You could submit it as a passing Rescheck and you should not have a problem, or hold on to it until they ask for an update to your IECC 2021 Rescheck.
Your building plans show R60 roof, R30 walls, and R49 subfloor (see below) If the town makes you update your blueprints you may have to have the architect make the update to the plans.
Rescheck User:
Okay thank you so much !
Here is my original IECC 2021 Rescheck that we submitted for permit.
Rescheck User:
Sorry for double email..
I also noticed his numbers were different than your on areas is that what could be the difference?
Rescheck.info:
The areas do differ but not by enough to make a significant difference on the score. I swapped over to those area numbers on your original IECC 2021 Rescheck on this version and the score is very similar.
Rescheck User:
Can I ask you is there anything that would make him tell him he can’t change the IECC 2021 Rescheck? I just want to be educated before I move forward
Rescheck.info:

Basically if you have 2 different people look at a set of plans they can come up with different take offs and both sets of numbers can be correct. It is based on the minor differences in the way individual Rescheck creators calculate their insulation envelope areas.
As you can see in this example the final scores are almost identical on the IECC 2021 Rescheck.
