Rescheck Web is Back and Has Undergone Major Changes
A REScheck-Web software upgrade has introduced a few design differences in the latest compliance certificates. The newly generated report contains a more detailed and structured layout, while the older version is more concise.
Key Design Changes in the New REScheck-Web Report
The most noticeable changes in the new report are in the project information and the compliance checklist.
Project Information
The new report presents project information in a more structured format, with specific fields for each detail. Key differences include:
Dedicated fields: The updated version includes new dedicated fields for “All Electric,” “Is Renewable,” “Has Battery,” “Has Charger,” and “Has Heat Pump”.
Report details: The new report also has a clear report title and date at the bottom of each page.
The inspection checklist is also more detailed and organized in the new report.
Tiered requirements: The updated checklist uses a tiered system to categorize the impact of each requirement, labeling them as High Impact (Tier 1), Medium Impact (Tier 2), or Low Impact (Tier 3).
Detailed sections: The checklist is broken down into specific inspection phases, such as Pre-Inspection/Plan Review, Foundation Inspection, Framing/Rough-In Inspection, Insulation Inspection, and Final Inspection Provisions.
Comments/Assumptions: The new design clearly states that text in the “Comments/Assumptions” column is provided by the user.

Changes to the Energy Efficiency Certificate
The final page of the new report, the Energy Efficiency Certificate, has also been updated.
R-Value and U-Factor ratings: The updated certificate provides a clearer, more organized table for insulation R-values and glass and door U-factors. It includes dedicated rows for
Above-Grade Wall, Below-Grade Wall, Floor, and Ceiling/Roof R-values, as well as separate rows for Window and Door U-factors.
SHGC rating: The new certificate also has a dedicated column for the Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) rating, though the example provided shows a value of 0.00 for windows and skylights.
Fix Compliance Failed Invalid SHGC or Project is not valid in Rescheck Web.
Equipment efficiency: There are now distinct lines for recording the efficiency of the Heating System, Cooling System, and Water Heater.
Overall, the new design is more comprehensive, with a more logical flow and greater detail in each section. These changes help to improve the clarity and usability of the REScheck-Web compliance reports.
